From a butterfly dome and Lego model building to line dancing and rugby league skills, there are plenty of fun and free things to do with the kids in the City of Logan these school holidays. Choose from giant slides, adventure parks, swimming pools, indoor playgrounds and a large range of events to keep children entertained.
Butterfly Village
Hundreds of live butterflies, arts and crafts activities, interactive storytelling and roaming entertainment will enchant Hyperdome Shopping Centre this September school holidays. Nature lovers and families can flutter inside the immersive custom-built Butterfly House full of hundreds of colourful, delicate butterflies or gather beneath Oakly the Talking Tree, sharing a special interactive story. This unmissable free experience will take place from 21 to 30 September between 10 am and 2 pm daily. The walk-through Butterfly Village dome is located in the Centre Court near TK Maxx. You may notice online that the event does say sold out; however, walk-in slots have been reserved and are still available for those wanting to attend. Warriors Inspire Logan School Holiday Clinic
Bring the kids to the Warriors Inspire Logan School Holiday Clinic, being held on Tuesday, 29 September at the Logan Metro Sports Complex. The clinic provides an opportunity for young people to participate in rugby league skills activities and recreational programming during the school holidays. Choose from 3 sessions for kids aged 5 to 8 years, 9 to 14 years and all abilities aged 5 to 14. Cost is $39 and includes a Warriors Steedon ball and drawstring bag. Bethania community centre free holiday program

Kindira Kids Bee & Pollinator Workshop
The kids will be buzzing at this workshop on 2 October at Flagstone Hub from 10 am to 12 pm, where they can discover the little creatures that help flowers and food grow. KRANK
Kids can enjoy a huge program of KRANK events with even more, including water sports and line dancing fun these school holidays. Logan City Council’s KRANK School Holiday Program (from Saturday 19 September to Sunday 4 October) includes wakeboarding sessions returning after a winter break at Bayside Wake Park, and Gilly's Line Dancing, which proved a hit during its KRANK debut in June. Pack your bags and get ready for a journey of discovery as we explore cultures from around the globe through the power of play, including live performances from Nana Magic, Tui n Friends and Just Auslan. Join us on 25 September from 9 am to 12 pm at Unity Hub in Slacks Creek for a special event organised by The Salvation Army Communities For Children, where children and families can experience the sights, sounds, creativity and traditions of countries from across the world. Enjoy a fun and free intergenerational experience at various Logan Libraries locations. Participants can take part in playful seated movement to music, enjoy brain-boosting activities and create a unique treasure box to take home. Daisy Hill Conservation Park
Explore eucalypt forests and stunning wetlands by foot on the designated walking trails or bring along your leashed pup on the shared trails. There are also mountain biking trails and horseriding trails.
Roller skate in Logan
Bring your roller skates or hire some at the on-site shop at Skate Paradise and enjoy skating your worries away to fun music.
Bayside Wake Park
If your kids are chasing thrills, little water enthusiasts can wakeboard, kneeboard, or tube at this park.
