Give Big for Logan Hospital returns
31 August 2026
The Logan community will have the chance to make an even bigger difference to local healthcare when Give Big for Logan returns on Thursday 3 September.
For 24 hours only, every donation made to the Logan Hospital Fund will be matched dollar for dollar, doubling the impact of each gift.
That means a $25 donation becomes $50, $50 becomes $100 and $100 becomes $200, helping support patient care, research, equipment and education initiatives at Logan Hospital.
Logan Hospital Fund Community Partnerships Manager Ellen Dann says the Give Big was possible thanks to generous major donors who are affectionately called 'Big Givers'.
'Every Giving Day we reach out to some of our best supporters and ask them if they’d like to make a larger gift so we can double regular donations for one day only,' she says.
'We're really hoping the Logan community gets behind this day and shows the same generosity they always do when it comes to supporting their local hospital.
'On September 3, every gift is doubled, so it's the perfect time to give if you've been thinking about saying thank you for your care at Logan Hospital or that of a loved one.'
Funds raised through the campaign will stay local, supporting projects that improve patient experiences and outcomes across Logan Health.
'Every dollar raised on the day goes towards advancing research, enabling patient care projects, purchasing cutting-edge equipment and supporting staff education initiatives here at Logan Hospital,' Ms Dann says.
'It all adds up to better outcomes for patients and gives our clinicians, nurses, allied health teams and researchers greater support to keep providing first-class care to our Logan community.'
Give Big for Logan is one of 5 fundraising campaigns taking place across Metro South Health, alongside campaigns supporting Princess Alexandra, QEII Jubilee, Beaudesert and Redland hospitals.
Ms Dann encouraged former patients, families, donors and community members to get involved.
'Whether it's a gift of $25 or $50, every donation makes a huge difference to patient outcomes and helps get people home sooner to their loved ones following a hospital stay,' Ms Dann says.
Community members can donate online throughout the 24-hour campaign or visit the Logan Hospital foyer between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm, where Logan Hospital Fund staff will be running a donation station.
