23 September 2026
Logan has never been short of talent, ambition or big dreams, and right now one young local is showing the rest of Australia exactly what our city is capable of.
Fifteen-year-old Logan resident Daisha Auda has earned a place in the Grand Final of The Voice Australia, becoming the only Queensland contestant remaining in the competition and giving Logan a reason to cheer on the national stage.
A student at Mabel Park State High School, Daisha's journey has captured attention not just because of her remarkable voice, but because of the determination, humility and community spirit she brings with her every time she steps onto the stage.
The self-taught singer, who has never had formal singing lessons, first stunned audiences during her blind audition, earning a rare 4-chair turn from all 4 celebrity coaches.
Since then she’s continued to impress viewers across the country with performances that showcase maturity, confidence and talent well beyond her years.

Daisha's success is also a powerful reflection of Logan's diverse and vibrant community. A proud Torres Strait Islander young woman, she has spoken about the important role music, storytelling and culture have played throughout her life.
She has previously performed at local community events, including Logan's NAIDOC celebrations, proudly representing both her culture and her city. Daisha is also appearing in a school production, Off The Charts, on 12 October at the Kingston Butter Factory.
As she prepares for the biggest performance of her young career, Daisha carries with her the support of a city that knows what it means to back emerging talent.
Her journey demonstrates that world-class potential can come from any postcode and that Logan continues to produce young people willing to pursue opportunities, embrace challenges and inspire others along the way.
Regardless of the final result, reaching the national Grand Final is already a remarkable achievement.
For local students, aspiring performers and young people across the city, Daisha's story is a reminder that hard work, courage and self-belief can open doors to extraordinary opportunities.
Now Logan residents have the chance to help write the next chapter in an already remarkable story.
