Yarrabilba skate park rolls into action
23 October 2026
A new skate park at McKinnon Sports Park South is giving young people in Yarrabilba a dedicated space to ride, connect and stay active.
The park has been delivered through a partnership between Logan City Council and Stockland.
Division 4 Councillor Nathan St Ledger says the community has responded positively to the new skate park since the opening.
'This precinct has grown into a real destination for young people, with schools, sport, youth services and now a skate park all in one area,' Cr St Ledger says.
'It's something locals have wanted to see for a long time.
'This is a great activity that is outdoors and centred around our sporting clubs, schools and local community centre.
'It’s just the start of what can be built in Yarrabilba as the suburb continues to grow.'

The skate park sits alongside the sporting facilities at McKinnon Sports Park South, helping create a recreation hub where residents of all ages can come together, be active and enjoy the outdoors.
Stockland Project Director Graeme Knox says the skate park will help support Yarrabilba's growing community into the future.
'As Yarrabilba continues to grow, it's important that community spaces and recreation facilities grow alongside it,' Mr Knox says.

'Stockland is proud to have contributed towards the construction of this new skate park and thanks Logan City Council for its work engaging the community, developing the design and delivering the project.
'The result is a fantastic new space that will support active lifestyles, bring people together and help strengthen community connections for years to come.'
The new skate park adds to the growing range of recreation opportunities available in Yarrabilba and is expected to become a popular destination for local skateboarders, scooter riders and BMX enthusiasts.
