Wave of Light 2026 - Logan

Join Communities for Children for Wave of Light, a gentle evening of remembrance and reflection for families affected by miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal loss, infancy loss or pregnancy loss.

This welcoming community event includes shared reflections, a global candle-lighting ceremony, connection with support networks, gift bags for participating families and a child-friendly space. All families are welcome, regardless of when or how their loss occurred.

Baby Loss Awareness Week, observed annually from 9 to 15 October, raises awareness of pregnancy and baby loss and acknowledges the lasting impact that loss can have on parents, siblings, grandparents and extended family members.

On 15 October at Unity Hub, there will be a dedicated child-friendly space for young children, gift bags for each family, and an opportunity to hear from others and connect with a caring support network.

There is no single story of what loss looks like. Whether your loss was recent or long ago, whether your story is shared openly or held quietly, you are welcome. This is a space for all - to grieve, to remember, and to stand together in love and understanding.

This event will be live streamed from the event page Wave of Light 2026 - Logan | Facebook so that community members who can’t be at the event in person can still take part. The live stream will focus on speakers and stage only - audience members will not be recorded. We warmly encourage you to join us in person if you are able.
