Division 8 Councillor Jacob Heremaia has welcomed the completion of new school zone threshold treatments on Rosia Road in Park Ridge, aimed at improving safety for students, parents and drivers.

The treatments include painting the words 'School Zone' along the roadway, giving drivers a clear visual cue to slow down as they approach the area.

'Keeping our kids safe on the way to and from school is one of my top priorities as Division 8 Councillor,' Cr Heremaia says.

'These threshold treatments are a simple but effective way to remind drivers they’re entering a school zone and need to reduce their speed.'

Cr Heremaia says the upgrade forms part of the ongoing commitment to improving road safety across Division 8.

'We’ll continue working with the community to identify and deliver the road safety improvements our area needs,' he says.
