Logan City Trails Community Day

This free community event brings together local riders, TrailCare volunteers, families, young people and residents for an afternoon celebrating Logan's growing trail community.

Learn from professional trail builders, contribute to real trail improvements, connect with fellow riders, enjoy food and refreshments, and finish the day with an exclusive screening of the internationally acclaimed Freehub Film Festival.

Freehub PRESENTS is an annual mountain bike film festival and community-driven event series that showcases unreleased short films from some of the best filmmakers and riders. This multi-stop film festival honours top and emerging filmmakers, riders, leaders and storytellers who will shape the sport for generations to come. 11:45 am - 12 pm: Check in and sign on. Light refreshments

Welcome and Introduction

12 pm - 12:15 pm: Welcome. Why trails matter, about stewardship, the day's objective and introduction to TrailCare.

Trailbuilding Masterclass

12:15 pm - 12:45 pm: Guru Dirt Works Safety briefing. Sustainable trail design. Drainage principles. Berms. Jumps. Rock armouring. Feature shaping. Incorporated Q&A.

Hands-On Trail Building Session

12:45 pm - 2:45 pm: Berms, Jumps, Drainage, Line definition, Rock armour and placement, Feature shaping. Tools will be provided.

Refreshment and Social Time

2:45 pm - 3 pm: Food and drinks will be provided.

Freehub Film Festival

3 pm - 4:30 pm: Join Freehub in celebrating unique perspectives and captivating stories on the big screen.

4:30 pm - 4:45 pm: End of the event.

Once the event is closed feel free to spend some time on the trails (optional). Bring your own bike and helmet.
